Nestled in the fertile valley between two mountain ranges, this house is located within one of the oldest cultivated Zinfandel vineyards in Napa Valley. It draws inspiration from traditional barn forms while adapting them to contemporary domestic life. The main residence is a U-shaped, single-story structure organized around a strong axial view that connects a grove of 300-year-old oak trees, the surrounding vineyards, and distant mountain vistas. The design creates a wind-sheltered courtyard that wraps around an infinity pool, with numerous openings that connect the interior spaces to the landscape and views beyond.

This project challenges the conventional agrarian vernacular through the use of advanced construction technology combined with skilled craftsmanship and impeccable detailing. Corrugated steel roofs and steel-framed windows contrast with concrete and the rich textures of recycled and reclaimed wood. The primary structural components were fabricated offsite using CNC technology, achieving unparalleled precision and lasting quality. This ensures that the home will gracefully adapt to the evolving family legacy. This is more than just a home — it’s a harmonious blend of tradition, innovation, and nature.
