CHAPTER MEETING: Tour Avaya Stadium and Coleman Highline


Join us for a fun and special summertime meeting as we tour the stadium and two cutting-edge TOD projects.

 

 

 

Visit the Coleman Highline, a speculative Transit-Oriented Development that will create 1.5M SF of office spanning eight buildings. Next door, attendees will also explore the new Avaya Stadium, aMajor-League Soccer stadium, home to the Earthquakes Soccer, LLC and a 24,000 SF team office building. Guests will nosh on tasty treats made by the Paddy Wagon Sliders food truck.

1. Participants will gain knowledge in the performance of finish surfaces as they relate to durability and sustainability in the highly abusive assembly environment used by both the public and professional athletes.

 

2. Participants will identify the ways that innovations in structural design of athletic facilities can impact their aesthetics and the overall design of the space.

 

3. Participants will explore the importance of master planning within a supporting urban fabric that includes shared parking, access to transit as well as attracting retail, restaurants and office tenants.  

 

4. Participants will be introduced to the specific code requirements and services that apply to flexible assembly spaces designed specifically to serve a large number of occupants.
