Want to learn how to get more people to pay attention when you’re speaking? Interested in improving your presentation skills? Join the WIA’s viewing of Amy Cuddy’s TED Talk about improving your body language. All are welcome, so bring a friend or colleague! The viewing of the TED Talk video will begin at 6pm, following a short introduction by the committee. After the screening, we will break into smaller groups for a constructive post-talk discussion and workshop. We look forward to seeing you there!  Complimentary admission, food and refreshments will be provided.

Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are

Did you know, the way you are sitting right now could change the way people think of you with out even knowing it?  In this talk Amy Cuddy, social psychologist and expert on nonverbal behavior, delves deep into the idea of body language. She reveals how much our body language affects how we are perceived by the people around us, and even the impression we have of ourselves.
