The Architectural Experience Program (AXP), effective June 29, 2016. Developed by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), the program is designed to guide aspiring architects through the early stages of their career so they can earn a license and practice architecture independently.”

Experience Areas

The six AXP experience areas are:

  • Practice Management / 160 Required Hours
  •  Project Management / 360 Required Hours
  •  Programming & Analysis / 260 Required Hours
  •  Project Planning & Design / 1,080 Required Hours
  •  Project Development & Documentation  / 1520 Required Hours
  •  Construction & Evaluation / 360 Required Hours

The problem with filling these hours is that most supervisors don’t know which parts of their work can be considered for each of these categories. And, it is difficult for people to complete these work experiences.  This webinar will answer questions that both interns and supervisors have regarding details of each field.

Matthew Friesz, AIA, NCARB, LEED Green Assoc  (Outreach Manager, Experience + Education) as he presents the webinar on March 28th during lunchtime.
